Cinnabon - Homemade Cinnamon Rolls :)

Hi Friends

What an aromatic smell at my home while baking!!! :) Whoa It's cinnamon flavor.I am thankful to my dearest friend as well as my neighbor who took us to Shopping Mall.. After window shopping,She was talking about Cinnabon store, USA..It was so aromatic and feeling like to eat it..Really nice smell and also They are making dough in front of us. Did not ask them :) She bought it and It was very awesome and melting in my mouth after dipped it with cream. At last it was over and my daughter likes it and asked some more.I told I ll try to bake it at home :). I also loved it and can't wait to bake it :) That is how I baked it at home and gave it to her :) Here the recipe goes on! Try for it at home :)

A Cinnamon roll is a sweet pastry roll with yeast dough and mixed with sugar cinnamon butter mixture to it.It is purely originated from Sweden. Here is the ingredients as below

Ingredients:

For Making dough
  • 1 Package Dry Yeast
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Sugar(1 tablespoon Sugar plus remaining sugar for dough)
  • 1/4 cup Warm water for yeast
  • 1/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp of Salt
  • 1 Egg(Optional)
  • 4 cups All Purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (1 Stick) Unsalted butter divided into two for applying dough and brush on the unbaked cinnamon rolls.
For Filling
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter(Room Temperature)
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  •  1/2 cup White sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon Freshly grounded cinnamon.(If you want to reduce the strong flavor then add 1 Tablespoon to it)
For Glaze:

  • 1 Tablespoon Butter(Room Temperature)
  • 1/2 cup powdered Sugar
  • 2 to 3 Tablespoons Warm milk.

Method:

Here are my cinnamon photos step by step wise :)

For Dough Mixture :
  • For yeast: Add 1 packet of yeast to the warm water to it and add 1 Tablespoon sugar to it.
  • Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes
  • Using Electric stand mixer with hook attachment or using by your hand, Mix All purpose flour, salt, sugar, vanilla extract and egg(optional) together
  • Add yeast mixture to it.
  • Add milk one by one at a time to get smooth soft dough.
  • Take a wide bowl.grease it with oil by using your hands.
  • Transfer the dough to the greased bowl.
Now the picture is given as follows. Here is the step:
  1. Dough is added to the greased bowl.
  2. Cover it lightly not too tightly.. Can be covered it with kitchen towel or plastic wrap.Allow to rise at warm temperature for about 2 hours.
  3. Prepare the filling as given except Butter.Keep aside.
  4. Grease the butter or oil onto the rectangle baking dish or any pan of your choice.
  5. After 2 hours 'It has risen.
  6. Bounce back at the center of the dough. It is ready to roll :)
  7. On a work counter top surface or table top,Dust the flour and make a rectangle exactly or round shaped dough with a rolling pin.
  8. Make it exact thin sheet as how did we do for roti! Not too thin not too thick.
  9. Apply the melted butter evenly on the shaped dough.Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on the melted butter dough.
  10. Roll it gently, but not too tightly..
  11. Before rolling it fully apply remaining butter on to the ends of the dough.
  12. Take a sharp knife, cut at first end and the last end of the rolled dough.
  13. Slice it evenly and gently.
  14. Allow it to rise for about 1 1/2 hours with plastic wrap or lid, but not too tightly.Best time if you can wait then keep it in the fridge for about 8 hours or overnight after risen.
  15. Preheat the oven to 350 F or 180 C. Once risen,Apply butter on the top of all cinnamon rolls.
  16. Bake it for about 20 minutes.
  17. Once it is light brown after eye watching it.Take out the pan while it is hot.Carefully use it with your oven gloves.
  18. Wrap fully in aluminum foil on the baking pan to avoid over browning.Put back in the oven for about 10 minutes. It is ready.
  19. For the glaze mix everything into the bowl except milk.Add gradually 1 tablespoon milk to it one by one to get thin consistency like ribbon formed. Put it to the piping bag and cut small hole and allow it to design on your choice while the cinnamon rolls are warm.
  20. Serve it with your morning favorite drink.
Notes: I made the cinnamon rolls unbaked and once risen and kept it in the fridge.Next morning I allowed it to set for about 30 minutes (Room temperature)baked it and Serve it at the same Morning day :)

Here is my Breakfast cinnamon rolls with my favorite drink :) Enjoy it !
